Yum! The holidays are almost here with all of the wonderful holiday cooking. Families and friends gather, sharing traditional and not-so-traditional recipes. Getting those dishes to the table can be tricky if you are traveling. Here are some tips that might help:
- Pack food covered and as contained as possible to prevent leaks or spills.
- Find a flat space in your vehicles such as the floorboard, cargo area, or trunk space.
- Line this space with towels or a quilt that can be washed if a spill occurs.
- Place your food in cardboard boxes so they will not slide.
- When driving, try to avoid taking sharp corners and making sudden stops.
- To keep food warm, cover to insulate with a bath towel or fleece blanket that can be washed.
