There are so many different cars out there, and sometimes, you think you know how to pronounce something, and it turns out you've been wrong the whole time. We certainly know what that's like at LCM Used Car Center, and we're the car experts. Recently, we saw on one of our favorite auto blogs, Jalopnik some of the hardest car names to pronounce, and we thought we'd share some of the highlights.
The most popular is probably Porsche. The luxury sports car some people say as 'porsh' and we've even heard a few 'porch' pronunciations in our day, but really the proper way is with the 'por-sha' and once you've got that down, you'll sound like a real car connoisseur.
Another item on the list was the VW Touareg. We can even remember a commercial that poked fun at how to pronounce the name of this SUV . 'Tour-reg?' Actually, it is like 'To-are-reg.'
Then, there are the confusing European brands like Lancia (LAN-cha), and Peugeot (Pew-jo) that make things a bit more complex.
