Here at LCM Used Car Center, we love it when we discover new ways to utilize recycled materials. After all, this is what our used cars are all about. While we take care of making sure your car is running smoothly, you can add your own touch of freshness and creativity with a homemade air freshener.

Begin by gathering up the necessary materials: cardboard, recycled fabric, basic glue, scissors, ribbon or cord, and your favorite fragrance or scented oil.

Next, draw out a design for the shape of your freshener. Go beyond the common basic tree shape and get creative!

Once the template is drawn and cut out, trace it twice on the fabric you chose to create a front and back piece. Do the same for the cardboard, but only cutting out one peice this time.

To assemble, glue the fabric to each side of the cardboard cutout and allow to dry.

Apply your selected fragrance or scented oil to the freshener. We suggest 10 to 20 drops all over, depending on how strong the scent is.

Once this is dry, punch a hole in the top of the shape and attach a string or cord that will allow the freshener to hang from your rear view mirror.

Now sit back, embark on a driving adventure, and enjoy the freshness that fills your car! Also remember you can easily reapply fragrance to it whenever needed.
