That's why we'd like to turn your attention to a new Smartphone app from OTTER LLC. The OTTER App is designed as a sort of "away message" for your phone when you're behind the wheel of a car. First, it silences your phone of all notifications, so that the lights and buzzing don't distract you. Next, it sends automated reply to the person texting you, informing them that you'll get back to them when the vehicle is no longer in motion.
The best part of the OTTER App, however, is the
fact that it's not just designed for drivers who want to put an end to their
unsafe driving habits. It's also been designed for parents to use when their
teenage driver is behind the wheel for the first time. Specifically, parents
can set a password lock on the app, which enforces its functionality when the
GPS function detects that a vehicle is in motion. This way, even if a teen
driver is tempted to disable the app, there's no way for them to. This can make the roads safer for everyone when the driver is 100% focused when they are behind the wheel.
